Our Partnerships

The central part of our work revolves around our partnership with the two evangelical Anglican churches in Furzedown: St. James and St. Albans. We signed a covenant in 1998 pledging to work together wherever possible. In the years since this relationship was established, our understanding of each other has developed in profoundly practical ways. We have a shared ministry and outreach in youth work based at Furzedown Youth Centre. We run joint enquirers and parenting courses. And we have recently started a monthly evening service for the three churches: First Sunday.

As we look to renew our covenant in the coming year, we look to an exciting future in which our deepening relationship increasingly blesses our local community.

MLBC is also in membership of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the London Baptist Association and the Evangelical Alliance and we subscribe to the aims, objectives and beliefs of these organisations.
